Unmasking Dolos

Defending Truth In A World of Lies

Farewell Substack!

What it boils down to is this: I have learned that I am not comfortable placing content on a platform that is owned (and controlled) by someone else. I have no particular complaint where Substack is concerned and it is probably a fine platform for lots of writers but even though I have no grand ambitions (or expectations) about the success of my very amateur writing endeavors, I would much rather retain complete control of my content by keeping it on my own domain.

As a result of that decision, I am moving all my posts from Substack to this domain. As I said, I have no beef with Substack but also realize that they can do whatever they want when they want with my content. If they decide to change their “terms and conditions” and that results in some of my content being in violation of those new policies they are free to remove my content or demand that it be changed. I prefer to avoid that.

The content I relocate from Substack and post here will retain the original dates that reflect when it was posted there. That might make the sequence of posts look a little strange but I think it is important to retain to original publication dates.
