You’ve got to hand it to these guys. They know a good gag when they see one and they will surely take advantage of a situation to pull of another. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops issued a statement recently that featured hand-wringing and pearl-clutching that you might expect from the likes of Chuck Schumer. They seem quite distressed about the Trump Administration’s immigration policy. So distressed, in fact, that they were compelled to issue what is described as a “rare” statement. One might get the impression they had something important to say.
It turns out that they just aren’t happy about the idea of removing the new Democrat voter hopefuls that have entered the country illegally during the tenure of our former “president,” Dementia Joe Biden. I don’t think anyone knows the exact number but it is believed that millions of people from an array of countries invaded the country during that time, and all because the Democrats crave power so much that they are willing to turn the country into a third world shithole to get it and to keep it.
I do not know what is going on with the Catholic Church these days but they seem to be trending more in the direction of Marxism than one would expect for a religious institution. Do they not know that Marx was an atheist and famously referred to all religion as the “opiate of the masses?”
Despite that, the bishops seem to be upset about Trump Administration efforts to remove illegal immigrants from the country, stating: “We are grieved when we meet parents who fear being detained when taking their children to school and when we try to console family members who have already been separated from their loved ones.”
Well, first of all I call your attention to the fact that if those parents and their children were legal citizens who did not blatantly disregard our laws by invading the country, they would not have that to worry about. Then there’s the matter of American taxpayers covering the costs of educating their children. Believe me, I am sympathetic to the idea that public schools have more in common with an indoctrination camp than an educational institution (don’t get me started on universities!) but that does not change the fact that they are taxpayer-funded. What gives anyone in the world the right to storm into the country and have their kids “educated” at our expense? To say nothing of the free food, housing and medical care.
Believe me, I have seen my share of hypocrisy on the part of religious leaders. I was raised as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and like any other organized group of human beings we had our share of leaders that were liars, cheaters, thieves, philanderers, pedophiles and other assorted perverts and degenerates. Need I remind you of the massive pedophile scandal that rocked the Catholic Church starting back in the 1980s?
I bring up the subject of hypocrisy because that is what this latest statement from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops reeks of. Since they seem so quick to attack the Trump Administration for their efforts to remove people that do not belong in the country, one might wonder what they are doing to help the less fortunate?
In 2021 (the latest estimate available) there were about 8,000 homeless people in Rome. Has The Pope thrown the gates of The Vatican open to allow the homeless to come in and enjoy the opulent living conditions therein? I thought not. So perhaps the bishops in question should concern themselves with whatever vile activity is almost certainly still going on within their organization and keep their leftist opinions to themselves where matters of state are concerned. At least when there clearly isn’t anything nefarious going on and I don’t consider the removal of illegal immigrants the least bit nefarious.
What all the bleeding heart leftists do not seem to realize is that if you allow and endless torrent of immigrants into the country from third world countries this country eventually becomes a third world country. Look what is going on in places like Dearborn, Michigan is slowly being transformed into an Islamic state within our borders. People take their habits and beliefs with them when they migrate to another country and no longer seem to worry themselves much about assimilation these days. The invasion that was promoted by the Biden Regime is a far cry from Ellis Island and the invaders are far less likely to make efforts to fit in here than those that came before them.
For the sake of clarity, the bleeding hearts I refer to are rank-and-file Democrats — the kind of people we saw out on the streets for the recent “No Kings” protests. Blithering idiots would be another way to describe those taking to the streets to promote the destruction of their own country. Folks like Chuck Schumer and the other well-to-do politicians, CEOs, celebrities and Catholic Bishops know exactly what they are doing and why they are doing it. For reasons I do not yet understand, the Catholic Church, or at least elements of it, are aligned with those working to bring this country to its knees with the intent of ushering in Marxism or some facsimile to “fix” it.
Perhaps the Catholic Church is “transitioning” to the Dark Side and have decided that aligning with Satan would be more beneficial than aligning themselves with God. Even from the outside looking in it would appear that they may be headed in that direction and I do wonder what the Marxists have promised them in return. I know how vulnerable religious leaders are to the temptations of the flesh and material things. Especially when they have already had a heady taste of it.
